To make a local call, dial ‘9’ then your number and to make a long distance call, dial ‘9’ then ‘0’ for operator assistance. Long distance calls must be collect or billed to your credit card or home phone. If you are using a calling card, dial '9' then '0' and your calling card number.
Telecommunication display devices (TDD) are available for hearing impaired patients. Ask your nurse to locate a TDD telephone.
Operator placement fee is $1.99 per call; long distance toll charge is $0.25 per minute. Note - these charges apply to all Operator Assisted calls including: collect calls, credit card calls and calls billed to a third party.
